Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping at Lakshalaya. We take great care in packaging our home decor products to ensure they reach you safely. Please read our policy regarding cancellations, damages, and exchanges carefully.

1. Cancellation Policy

  • Before Shipment: You may cancel your order at any time before it has been shipped. To cancel, please email us immediately at care@lakshalaya.com with your Order ID. If the order has not left our warehouse, we will cancel it and process a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • After Shipment: Once an order has been dispatched/shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

2. Refund Policy

  • No Refunds: At Lakshalaya, we follow a No Refund policy. Once a product is sold and shipped, we do not offer monetary refunds.
  • Exceptions: A refund will only be issued if the product you ordered is out of stock or if we are unable to deliver to your location.

3. Exchange Policy (Damaged in Transit)

We offer a replacement/exchange only in the event that a product is damaged during transit.

  • Reporting Damage: You must report any damage within 24 hours of receiving the package.
  • Mandatory Unboxing Video: To be eligible for an exchange, you must provide a continuous, unedited unboxing video. The video should clearly show:
    1. The courier label on the package.
    2. The package being opened for the first time.
    3. The specific damage to the product.
  • Evaluation: Our team will review the video. If the damage is verified as transit-related, we will ship a replacement of the same product at no extra cost.
  • Out of Stock: If a replacement for the damaged item is not available in stock, we will offer you an exchange for another product of equal value or provide a store credit.

4. Items Not Eligible for Exchange

  • Products returned without the mandatory unboxing video.
  • Damage reported after 24 hours of delivery.
  • Slight variations in color or finish (as these are natural characteristics of handcrafted home decor).
  • Products damaged due to mishandling by the customer after delivery.

5. Return Shipping for Exchanges

In the case of a verified damaged product, we will coordinate with our logistics partner to pick up the damaged item from your address. Please ensure the item is packed in its original box for the return journey.
